Daz Dillinger Presents - Who Ride Wit Us If Dr.Dre
were to review this album he would probably say:
"This shit is dope, its the Chronic. I wanna see
the aftermath of this cd for DPG Recordz" Disc
One
01) Get Cha Walk On feat. Xzibit & W.C - Produced
by Fred Wreck Funky remix all about getting ya
walk on. All 3 west coast cats come tight, only
the lame 'hokey pokey' part in the middle degrades
this hit. 4/5
02) I Don't Know Why feat. Lucc Lucciono - Produced
by Bigg Blue A phat track that will get ya head
movin'. This beat + Daz = GANGSTA SHIT!!! Lucc
adds a different flavour. 3.5/5
03) We Yell Hey Hoo feat. C-Murder - Produced
by L.T Hutton I'm not a No Limit fan but this
song I have love for. L.T provides a bumpin' beat,
that Daz & C tear up. A great hook that will ring
in your head. 3.5/5
04) Hustlaz feat. Young Bleed & Homeyz - Produced
by Young Bleed Not a brilliant song, the beat
won't really excite many. The lyrics don't bring
anything new. Once again the beat kills this.
2/5
05) Crippin' feat. C-Bo - Produced by Mike Dean
This song is tight. C-Bo puts in a great performance
and the hook is on some cool shit. Daz and C-Bo
repping Crizzip fo' lyfe. 4/5
06) Here We Go Now feat. Hit from Tha LBC - Produced
by Daz Dillinger The beat on this one gets annoying…fast.
However Daz puts in some tight words which will
get you enjoying the track. 3/5
07) Who Wants 2 Be a Dope M.C feat. Kurupt & Heltah
Skeltah - Unknown Producer A dark, gloomy, slow
east/west collabo. The lyrics used by Daz & Kurupt
can also be found on "2002" the Death Row release.
Not bad, but the Dogg Pound can do much better.
3/5
08) Don't Be Foolish feat. Kurupt & Snoop Dogg
- Produced by Snoop Dogg Any Dogg Pound fan will
love this one right here. Kurupt's opening is
raw and highlights the track. With these three,
you cant go wrong. 4/5
9) OG 2 Me feat. Scareface & Kurupt - Produced
by Mike Dean A slow song wit' Face telling it
how it is. As always Kurupt laces this one with
pure heat and an awesome flow. Jayo Felony was
removed from this track. 3/5
10) Clocc'n C Notes feat. Made Men, Tray Deee
& Kurupt - Produced by Soopafly & Daz Dillinger
HOT!! Now this is one of the best east/west collaborations
for a minute now. Tray Deee spits the hook over
the funked out Soopa-Daz production. Made Men
show great chemistry on this one. 5/5
11) We Came feat. E-40, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg,
Kurupt & Tha Click - Unknown Producer A great
collaboration from the Bay to the LBC. The chorus
is another effort from Nate Dogg that works to
perfection. Something to chill back to. 3.5/5
12) What You Gone Do feat. Doggy's Angels - Produced
by Blaqtoven This is from the Angels before Snoop
got his hands on them, and it's not bad. Daz on
the hook, which is really catchy, over a smooth
west coast beat. 3/5 Disc Two
Disc Two
01) It Might Sound Crazy (Remix) feat. Too Short
- Produced by Battlecat This is for all you Death
Row fans. Originally slated for the "Inside Out"
compilation back in the day. Much better than
the OG. This songs all about the bitches, as if
Too Short could stray from the subject. 4/5
02) Your Love is the Shit feat. S.F.T.P - Produced
by Soopafly & Daz Dillinger Daz and Soopa trade
lines at the opening to kick the song off and
let the R&B take over. This is something to play
as you jump into the backseat of your ride. 3/5
03) Animalz feat. 3Tre Tha Hardway - Produced
by Daz Dillinger This shit is alight, but goes
dry. Lyrics are a lil' empty, same old thang,
with the beat becoming boring. 2/5
04) Put the Monkey in it feat. Soopafly - Produced
by Soopafly & Daz Dillinger A favourite DPG collabo
of mine. Daz and Soopafly weave in and out of
each other over this unique beat. Equal imput,
equal result. 4/5
05) Westside & Eastside feat. MC Eiht - Produced
by Daz Dillinger YeaYea!!! Bump this on max and
you'll be reaching for the repeat button. A dark
track, with that gangsta twist. Sometimes a Daz
beat doesn't satisfy…but this one does. 5/5
06) Bustaz feat. Lil' C-Style, Tray Deee, Legacy
& RBX - Produced by Daz Dillinger & DJ Aladin
The 19th Street playas callin' shots on fakaz
and bustaz. Another one definatly for your ride.
If you haven't heard much Lil' C-Style peeps this.
4/5
07) U Make Me Wanna feat. Usher - Produced by
Jermaine Dupri This is a collaboration I'd never
pick, but Daz sounds great over this beat with
Usher. Apparently it was a radio drop, Daz must
have liked it a lot. Usher and Diggy Daz together
make a great song. 4/5
08) Why Oh Why feat. Warren G & Kurupt - Produced
by Warren G Unfortunately it appears better on
paper. The production on this one is very mediocre,
but Young Gotti manages to shine through. 3/5
09) Turf Stories feat. Mac Shawn & Tray Deee -
Produced by C&H A laid back song to chill out
with. Not a banger, more a bummer, but a good
drop by Tray Deee, an OG from the turf. 3/5
10) Affiliated feat. 3Tre Tha Hardway & Woo -
Unknown Producer This song belongs on a No Limit
cd. Possibly the worst song off the whole album.
It is however saved by the DPG soldier Daz Dilli.
2/5
11) Play (Remix) feat. J-Lo - Produced by Mike
Dean WOW! HOT HOT HOT!!! You could buy this entire
album and this song would make it worth while.
The beat is straight bangin' and Daz teases us
with Puffy-like ad-libs to build up the anticipation
to his verse. J-Lo sounding her best. 5/5
12) Fyde Ryde feat. Sherm & Tex Mex - Produced
by Mike Dean Some 80's retro shit. Not a great
song, but the music on the hook is very entertaining.
An upbeat song. 2.5/5
13) Do You Know What You Talking About feat. Young
Weee - Produced by Done Deal Recordz A tight song
that gonna get heads bumpin fa sho. Not a west
coast classic, but nothing to sleep on, good contribution
by Daz.
3.5/5 OVERALL 3.5/5
