Nate Dogg - Music And Me

Nate Dogg - Music and Me If Jay Z were to review this album he would probably say: "Nate's laid a good blueprint to get girls, girls, girls."

01) I Got Love - Produced by Bink A cool laid back song, that compliments Nates G-Funk vibes. A really good song that displays Nates singing ability. The 1st single. 3/5

02) Backdoor - Produced by Bink Good production, some good music. Nate brings a really goo hook and makes this track a winner. 3/5

03) Keep it G.A.N.G.S.T.A feat. Lil' Mo & Xzibit - Produced by Megahertz A banging track, picked as the 2nd single. Xzibit spits a flaming verse lifting the rating of the track, while Lil' Mo and Nate sing up a storm, keepin' it G. 4/5

04) I Pledge Allegiance (Intro)

05) I Pledge Allegiance feat. Pharoahe Monch - Produced by Mel-Man Damn! This shits bangin'. My favourite track off the album. Mel puts down a phat beat, while Nate shows us his versatility as a singer, raising and lowering his voice. Phoroahe adds da flavour with a bright cameo. 5/5

06) Your Woman has Just Been Sighted (Ring the Alarm) feat. Jermaine Dupri - Produced by Jermaine Dupri & Bryan Michael-Cox I don't really like this song, but it will probably end up as the 3rd single. JD throws in more ad-libs than Puffy here. The hook is good though, Nate doing his thang. 3/5

07) Your Wife feat. Dr.Dre - Produced by Dr.Dre & Mike Elizando Hmm, good beat, but sounds a lot like the "Lay Low" beat. Dre comes in spitting game & really lifts this song. Typical choice of topic for Nate, hoez & bitches. I like this one. 3/5

08) Can't Nobody feat. Kurupt - Produced by Megahertz Wow, this will get heads boppin'. These type of collaborations will keep you fiendin' for DPG music. Very up beat song and as usual Young Gotti rips the mic up. 5/5

09) Another Short Story - Produced by Mike City Not bad, yet not great. Nate doesn't really change his voice pitch, which turns this track almost…boring. The beat is a decent one, probably a song just for true Nate Dogg fans. 2/5

10) Concrete Streets - Produced by Battlecat I love it! Nate's voice is up and down, down and up. Cat give's him another banga to work with. Great lyrics that Nate delivers even better. Really good song. 5/5

11) Real Pimp feat. Ludacris - Produced by Bink Nothing special, kinda disappointing. The two come off a lot better in "Area Codes". Nate slangin' some pimp shit, as he only could. The beat lets this one down. 2/5

12) Ditty Dum Ditty Doo feat. Snoop Dogg & Tha Eastsidaz - Produced by Fred Wreck I was looking forward to this, but it wasn't as good as it looks: Nate, Snoop, Fred, Goldie and Tray Deee. Still a solid track, with some great verses from the DoggyStyle Records crew. 4/5

13)
Music & Me - Produced by Damizza A really laid back track, that Nate flows smoothly over it. Some shit to jus' kick back with. Nate tells us of his love of his music and tells us he wont stop… 3/5

14) I Got Love (Remix) feat. Fabolous, Kurupt & B.R.E.T.T - Produced by Bink Now this is one of the best cuts on the album. Nate only contributes the hook, but still shines through. Fab, Kurupt and B.R.E.T.T all bring hot verses, making this a great track. Although he is a solo artist, this proves Nate does best when rocking a hook, and leaving the rest for others.

4/5 OVERALL 3.5/5
